Bhakti Yoga - The Science of Devotion

Enjoy The Wonderful Benefits Of Yoga
At the physical stage, the therapeutic practices of yoga have been verified to be very effective for various disorders.
There are .....
Bhakti means devotion to the Almighty. Bhakti yoga deals with devotion to God and achieving the union with him. This is the easiest of all yoga types. This branch of yoga teaches the relation between the devotee and the divine. It does not involve any technical or complicated procedures. There is no need of any intellectual capacity to master this yoga. It has appealed to the common man because it gives him a feeling security and develops a kind of reliance and dependence on the object of his devotion.
Bhakti yoga assumes that there is a higher power that has created the universe and is all-powerful. This power has the capacity to confer grace and mercy on him and thus protecting him from all the harms and evils. The devotee or bhakta is expected to make himself fit for receiving this divine grace. For this, he has to practice devotion and virtue. His ultimate goal should be to unite with this divine power and rest eternally in happiness and peace. The devotee surrenders all his motives and acts to the Divine Power. He renounces all the responsibilities towards the good or bad consequences of all his actions and ascribes it to the will of the Supreme.
Devotion and faith play a vital role in this branch of yoga. The devotee or bhakta is supposed to be highly religious, should adopt a friendly stance towards all the other living beings including animals, read religious texts, concentrate on the symbol of the Divine, think and wish well for the others etc. The beauty of this yoga lies in its simplicity. This has made it one of the most appealing of all the yoga types. Following this yoga develops the peace of mind in an individual. A peaceful individual will always think happy and prosperous thoughts and will thus lead a happy life.

Indigo Ocean Dreams: 4 Children's Stories Designed to Decrease Stress, Anger and Anxiety while Increasing Self-Esteem and Self-Awareness (Indigo Dreams)
ndigo Ocean Dreams is a 60 minute CD/audio book designed to entertain your child in an ocean setting while introducing them to four relaxation and stress-management techniques. Children follow their sea friends along as they learn to release and manage anger with Angry Octopus, build self-esteem with Affirmation Weaver, implement Yoga breathing with Sea Otter Cove and visualize with Bubble Riding. Designed as the sequel to Indigo Dreams, this CD offers longer stories and expands on the relaxation techniques of breathing, visualizations, muscular relaxation and affirmations. Ideal for older children ages 6-12, or as step two for those already familiar with Indigo Dreams. Engaging characters present these adult level techniques in an easy to follow format that makes it fun for any child to learn. The narration is accompanied by calming sounds of dolphins, sea otters and gentle waves. An additional music sound track is included to further enhance your child's relaxation experience. These proven techniques encourage wellness and provide tools for children who suffer from anxiety, stress, trauma, hyperactivity, anger, sleep issues and lack of confidence.
Customer Review: a miracle
This cd is a miracle. I have a four year old and a six year old who have a very difficult time falling asleep and allowing themselves to relax. It is a struggle every night. If I didn't see this for myself, I would have never believed it. Within ten minutes, both of my children were fast asleep. Lori's voice is very relaxing and I can't wait to order another cd.

Unique Birthday Housewarming Gift Idea Her Him - 22" Tibetan 9 Bell Oriental Wind Chimes
Traditional Tibetan bell wind chimes, believed to attract positive energy to the household, perfect gift for newly-weds, housewarming, or new business, ships in 48 hours, professionally packed and fully insured, from our Massachusetts warehouse via Fed Ex, expedited delivery available.
Customer Review: Great for a windy location
In reponse to the rater below, you asked about a design that is more breeze-sensitive. What I have found is that you need traditional chimes (with a wide clapper sorrounded by tubes). These are quite sensitive to the slightest breeze which is good if you don't have much wind in your area. By contrast, I live in a windy area and have come to avoid chimes with a wide clapper in the middle. I look for chimes with a ball-shaped clapper or no clapper at all, which make a light, pleasant sound even in strong breezes.

Customer Review: Perfect past time for too hot summer days
My son loves this DVD set! When it is too hot and humid to go outside he pops it in and does Silly to Calm to get his wiggles out. I don't even have to remind him he has it, he does it all by himself. My only complaint is that one of the DVDs is slightly off, the intro is scrambled, but it doesn't affect the work-out part of the video so no big deal. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone with young children.

Yoga Journal's Prenatal Yoga
The best thing about this prenatal yoga program is that there is a model for each trimester. Instructor Shiva Rea demonstrates each of the stretches and exercises for the first trimester, and two pregnant women show modifications for the second and third trimesters (they're even dressed in different colors for easy reference). This removes the self-doubt home-exercisers often have about the safety of certain moves--especially in that cumbersome final stage of pregnancy. Using gentle voice-over instruction, Rea and her assistants take viewers through a half hour of meditational stretches using blocks and chairs for support. She follows that up with 16 minutes of floor work: lunge pose, bridge pose, child's pose, plank pose--all with the necessary adjustments. She winds things up with a four-minute guided relaxation on her back--the traditional position--with the second-trimester woman on her side and the third on her side with one leg up on a chair. By including the different adaptations, Rea has made a program with the flexibility to carry an expectant mom through her entire pregnancy--and beyond, if she wishes. --Kimberly Heinrichs
Customer Review: Excellent
This program is wonderful. I have been doing yoga for 5 years, and, although it does not challenge me in the usual ways (backbends, inversions, etc.) it definately opens up the hips and is preparing me for birth. I highly recommend it to all pregnant women.
